To be more precise English Wine Tasting & Tours are taking Londoners to the vineyards to enjoy a Napa Valley experience right here in England.
English Wine Tasting & Tours kicked off their wine tour season in style on Saturday 28th May, just in time to mark the start of English Wine Week. The first tour of the season as always started with collection from London Bridge in ‘’The Wine Tour Bus’’ and took guests down to Kent to enjoy a day sampling English Wine and believe or not basking in the English sunshine!
Wine Tours run regularly from May through to November and cost £89pp and offer guests a full day of wine tasting and gastronomic delights. Passengers are collected from central London (next to London Bridge) and are whisked away to the English Countryside in their executive mini-coach for a day of winery and vineyard tours, tutored tastings at two vineyards, gastro-pub lunch and return travel from London.
English Wine Tasting Tours have two flagship consumer wine tours. Their Kent Wine Tour which visits The Chapel Down Winery and The Hush Heath Estate. And their Sussex Wine Tour which visit The Bolney Wine Estate and Bluebells Vineyard. Both these tours showcase contrasting vineyards and give guests the opportunity to sample an array of English Wines, an insight into the English Wine Industry, and the opportunity to see and taste just why English wine is winning so many awards across the globe.
In addition to their consumer wine tours they also offer private group and tailor made tours for companies, groups and parties (hen parties, birthday parties etc) and work closely with a number of vineyards throughout the South East.
‘’The first tour of the season was completely sold out, which just shows how popular English Wine is becoming. Both the consumer and our private group tours are proving to be really popular. They appeal to a real mixed bag, from cool Londoners looking for a day out, tourists who’ve heard about English Wine, through to hard core foodies who simply love good food and wine. We even had four people catch the 5am train from Leeds just to make it to our first wine tour of the season. Based on their review they definitely thought it was worth the 5am start!
The wide range of guests has really epitomised the fact that English Wine has a far reaching appeal, young, old, the patriotic English, to tourists, groups and corporate organisations looking for something that little bit different!’’ Nicola Boarer, Director, English Wine Tasting Tours.
As well as local Londoners, wine tourism is a big part of English Wine Tasting Tours market. Tourists visiting London like the fact that everything is included in the day, the pick-up point is very central and not only do they get to taste great English wines, they also get to see quintessential England at its best, as they drive through quaint English Towns and Villages.
‘’Wine Tourism has definitely landed in England. We’ve had tourist from all over the world take our Wine Tours. Especially the Americans they love English wine. They’ve all heard about English wine and this offers a great opportunity to try it while they are here.’’ Nicola Boarer, Director, English Wine Tasting Tours.
English Wine Tasting Tours have just signed a contract to work with CVC a large Brazilian Tour operator, who will be selling English Wine Tours to their customers in Brazil.
