Explore English Wine on a private wine tour
A private wine tour is an excellent way to explore English wine and to see the countryside. Our private tours can depart from London (for an additional fee), but you can also get a quick train out to the countryside where we can pick you up. It's usually much quicker to get a train verses sitting in London traffic.
Our guest in the picture have went to Sedlescombe Organic to explore the world of organic and biodynamic wine. We picked them up from Ashford International train station.

A family owned vineyard
We love to show our guests some family owned vineyards that make some excellent English wine. Charles Palmer is a fine example of this. Charles and Sally Palmer live on the 750 acre estate known as Wickham Manor which just outside Winchelsa in East Sussex.
Charles Palmer offers a range of sparkling and still wine. They do a lovely red pinot noir now and based on the 2020 harvest we have inside information they are planning to do more still wine this year.
Reach out to us and inquire about our private tours to Charles Palmer.

We visit Kent vineyards too
One of our stops often includes Chapel Down Vineyard. The winemaker is Josh Donaghy-Spire who makes some award-winning sparkling and still wine. We often visit Chapel Down for a couple of reasons:
- The largest producer of English wine and known as the "Home of English Wine"
- The vineyard makes a wide range of wine for guests to sample and try
- Even the Royal Family buys and drinks Chapel Down (so good enough for us!)
- Excellent facilities and overall experience
Chapel Down has also diversified as a wider drinks business, but still with a focus on wine. They now use their grape must to make spirits such as a Bacchus Gin, a Pinot Noir Gin, and a Chardonnay Vodka.
